Walmart free grocery pickup
How does Walmart grocery pickup work?
Shop for groceries via the groceries section on Walmart.com or use the Walmart Grocery App. Fill up your online cart with food, cleaning supplies, pet supplies, diapers and more, check out and select a pickup time (between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.) that works for you. If you order before 1 p.m., you can get same-day pickup.
Walmart employees will pull and bag your items and bring them out to your car (and load them for you) at your appointed time. Wait for the confirmation that your order is ready. Use the app to check in when you’re on your way so that the order will be ready when you arrive. And park in the designated pickup area.
How much does Walmart grocery pickup cost?
Walmart grocery pickup is free. However, your store may require you to place a minimum order. That minimum amount will display in your cart, so you know how much more you need to order.
Plus, grocery pickup can save you money: Use promo code WOWFRESH to get $10 off your first order of $50 or more.
There’s also no markup for items you order for pickup. You’ll get the same low prices that in-store shoppers do.
Where is Walmart grocery pickup available?
The service is available in hundreds of locations nationwide and is getting rolled out to even more. Enter your ZIP code on Walmart.com to see if your store is participating.
More details about Walmart grocery pickup

If you live in an area that has bag fees, your grocery pickup order may incur bag fees. However, you may opt to have your order brought out without bags.
Want to order alcohol? You’ll be asked for ID when you pick up your order.
If you miss your pickup window, the store will contact you to reschedule. You may be charged a restocking fee for completely missed orders.

How does Walmart grocery delivery work

Walmart’s trained personal shoppers will pull your items and bag them up. Walmart contracts with delivery services, who are then responsible for bringing your order to your home.
How much does Walmart grocery delivery cost?
The cost for delivery is $9.95, and you must order at least $30 worth of groceries.
Other details about Walmart grocery delivery
Keep these details in mind to make the grocery delivery process go smoothly:
Someone (18 years of age or older) needs to be home to accept the delivery.
If you miss a delivery, the delivery driver will leave behind information for rescheduling. You may be charged a restocking fee if you don’t reschedule.
If you live in a large apartment complex, the driver will deliver right to your door. However, please be sure to leave delivery instructions when placing your order (unit number, gate code, etc.)
If the item you order isn’t available when your order is packed, Walmart will substitute it with something similar. If you don’t want substitutions, change the “substitutions” setting in your account, and unavailable items simply will be left off your order.
Get a ride to Walmart in a self-driving car
What if you want to take advantage of Walmart’s grocery pickup and delivery, but delivery isn’t available in your area and you don’t have a car?
Walmart is testing a partnership with Waymo (formerly Google’s self-driving car project) and combining it with grocery pickup.
If you live in the pilot city (the Phoenix metro area) and have been selected to participate in the pilot because you’re one of Waymo’s Early Riders public trial members, you can take part.
Place an online grocery pickup order via the Walmart Grocery App or on Walmart.com. Select a pickup time, and a Waymo car will arrive to shuttle you to Walmart. Note that, for the Early Riders trial, a test driver will be in the vehicle with you monitoring the ride.
